Purpose

This article explains how to add tags (standards) to a video assignment and how commenters can tag time-stamped comments.

Adding standards to a video assignment
1. Navigate to Program Management -> Staff & Students, then open Groups.
2. Open the class and the target video assignment.
3. Add commenters to the assignment.

• After commenters are added, the “Has standards” checkbox appears.

4. Check “Has standards” and choose one or more standards from the dropdown.
5. Commenters can then link individual standards to their time-stamped comments during review.

In Program Management -> Supervision, tags can also be added or edited from the Assignments workspace.

1. Open the class, then click the video assignment name.
2. In the pop-up, check "Has Standards," select the required standards from the dropdown and click OK.

Adding video tags for comments

Admin users can create colored tags that commenters apply to time-stamped points in a video.

To add or manage them:

1. Go to Program Setup-> Customization in your admin account.
2. Open Tags on the left, click the Table dropdown, and choose "Video comments."
3. Existing video tags are listed; to add a new tag, click Add (upper right).
4. Enter the tag name, pick a color, set Tag Type to "Video comments," and optionally assign a Program.
5. Save.

Once completed commenters will be able to add their tag and will appear as seen below:

Important notes

• Deleting a comment also deletes any tags and standards attached to it.
• There is no limit to the number of tags that can be added to a comment.
• Only tags whose Database table type is "Video Comments" will be available for commenters to select.
