SSO lets faculty/students log into ELC with one credential. ELC supports LTI, SAML 2.0 (requires URLs, Entity ID, system name, X509 cert) and a proprietary timestamp/secret SSO—contact your CSM to set up.

Overview

Single Sign-On (SSO) is an authentication method that enables your faculty and students to securely authenticate and login to Experiential Learning Cloud using just one set of credentials.

Experiential Learning Cloud supports single sign-on.

If interested, let your CSM know and we will set up single sign-on for your university’s ELC database.

Types of SSOs

LTI

For LTI single sign-on, we need to know whether you will be using your system username or an email address as the username in ELC to configure the parameter in our system.

SAML 2.0

Required for SAML 2.0 SSO:

SAML system login url
SAML system logout
Entity Id for the SAML system
The name of the authenticating system
The X509 public key certificate

Proprietary

We have a proprietary SSO mechanism based on a timestamp and a secret key, similar to other web services.
