Applying a Course License to an Existing DecisionTools Suite Trial

I installed a trial of the DecisionTools Suite, and now I have a course license file from my college or university. Do I need to do a full install?

No, a full reinstall is not necessary. You can apply your course license to your existing installation by following these steps:

Steps to Apply a Course License:

1. Close Excel

   • Make sure all copies of Excel are closed before applying the license.

2. Move the License File

   • Locate your course license file (e.g., Palisade_Course.lic).

   • Move it to the appropriate folder on your computer:

     • C:\Program Files (x86)\Palisade\System or

     • C:\Program Files\Palisade\System

     • Choose the folder that exists on your system.

   • Windows may prompt for permission—click Yes or OK if prompted.

3. Launch a DecisionTools Suite Tool

   • Open any tool in the Suite.

   • If License Manager does not open automatically, a popup will appear with a License Manager button. Click it.

4. Select Your Course License

   • In License Manager, click Select License.

   • Choose your course license from the list and click OK.

   • All tools in the Suite will automatically be configured to use the same license.

Your DecisionTools Suite installation is now licensed with your course license.
