Standalone Software Installation and Activation (6.x+)

Applies to:

• Individual commercial, academic (faculty/staff), student, or trial licenses
  Does NOT apply to:

• Concurrent Network Client

• Enterprise Network Client

• Course License

• Textbook Software

If Software Is Already Installed

1. Launch the software.

2. If License Manager doesn’t appear, go to Help » License Manager.

3. Click Activate and follow the prompts.

If Installing or Reinstalling

1. Open your installer:

   • Click the live email link, or

   • Copy a plain-text link into your browser.

2. Download and locate the installer:

   • Chrome: Ctrl+J → Show in Folder

1. • Firefox: Downloads → Open Containing Folder

2. Right-click the installer → Run as Administrator.

1. Choose installation language and accept license terms.

Customer Information Options

• Trial Version: Keep "I want to activate a 15-day, fully-featured trial."

• Existing License: Select "I am upgrading or reinstalling" to prevent trial license overwrite.

• Purchased Software:

  • Activate during installation by entering your Activation ID, or

  • Install trial now and activate later.

Installation Notes

• Click Next to proceed.

• If activation fails, click OK; installation will complete.

  • After you get the Setup Completed screen, see "Setup was unable to activate the Activation ID ..." for your next steps.

• On Setup Completed, click Finish.
