NVivo: Table Cell Capacity Exceeded Error
NVivo is constrained to the same maximums as Excel for cells, rows and columns. The maximum cell capacity for Excel and NVivo is 32,767 characters per cell. A "Table Cell Capacity Exceeded Error" indicates one of the cells in the NVivo dataset is larger than this maximum. Check the cells in Excel (outside of NVivo) using an Excel formula in one of the blank cells of the spreadsheet that was imported. Formula: =MAX (LEN(CellRef1:CellRef2), where CellRef1 and CellRef2 refer to each of the cells in the range. (Example - "MAX (LEN(A1:A7)" gives you the max number of characters in the cells A1 through A7. If the table is in MS Word, convert the table to text by clicking on the pencil in the top right with the table open in Detail View. This will also fix the error.
