Printer Connection Error Using NVivo

 

Background:

NVivo uses your Windows default printer settings to display data in Detail View.

Error:  

"Wait for printer connection or cancel connection"
 

Solution:

1. Go to Printers and Scanners to check this setting. 
2. Change the setting from the network printer to a "print to pdf" printer to get rid of the prompt.

 

NOTE: If you continue working in NVivo with the network printer set as the default while your device doesn't have access to it, you will likely see a decline in NVivo performance.
