Error: 

Cannot access NVivo configuration settings. NVivo need to be closed down. 

 

Solution:

Rename (or delete) the NVivo Customization folder to reset the configuration settings.

With NVivo closed:

1. Start typing ‘Folder Options’ in the Windows Search box on the task bar and click on File Explorer Options in the search results
2. Click on the View tab in the pop up window.
   1. In the Advanced settings section, under Hidden files and folders
   2. Select Show hidden files, folders and drives option and click OK
3. Navigate to the following folders:
   1. C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\QSR_International
   2. C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\QSR_International  (If exists)
      1. Note: QSR_International is now Lumivero,_LLC as of NVivo 14.23.3
4. Within these folders, rename (or delete) all folders where the name starts with NVivo.exe_Url (e.g rename to old NVivo.exe_Url).
5. Relaunch NVivo
