1. Can anyone from the team upload files to the shared workspace for collaboration?
Yes but Please Note - the team member that uploads the initial project file becomes the project owner with more permissions than the collaborators.  See this Collaboration Cloud Help Page  for details.
 
2. Does a large amount of files cause any issues with regards to the system ie. lags or crashes?
An important thing in being successful with Collaboration Cloud is to keep the file on the local C: or Mac drive rather than a virtual desktop or Cloud drive AND run the compact/repair utility as large amounts of data are added.  This will manage database fragmentation which occurs when the underlying SQL database allocates space for your files. If you don't run the utility, the performance of Collaboration Cloud synching will degrade and cloning may even fail.

3. Why can only one team member be defined as the Project Owner in Collaboration Cloud?
This limitation is by design so that team members don't overwrite each other's work - or make unauthorized changes. Coding could go out of synch very quickly if a change is made in a source document that another team member is coding (for example).
