Background

Starting with the NVivo 14 implementation of Collaboration Cloud (Cloud Projects), the team member who uploads the project file to Cloud Projects is the owner of the project. The owner of that particular file can't be updated.

How to Change Owners of a Project

To change the owner of the project:

1.  The new owner must first disconnect their copy of the project from the Cloud.  The rest of the members of the team should NO LONGER MAKE EDITS until the new copy is uploaded.

On Windows:

This is done by going to File->Project Properties->Cloud tab->Disconnect Project

On a Mac:

This is done by going to File->Project Properties in the Mac menu ->Cloud icon->Disconnect Project

     2. Once disconnected, the new owner can upload the file back to the cloud and add the team members using the Manage Team button. The rest of the team will need to clone the new file down to their devices.
