@RISK/Evolver: Using Excel During Simulation or Optimization

Open a second Excel instance to work while a simulation runs. Don't run Palisade software there; @RISK cells show #NAME but formulas remain editable.

Can I use Excel while a simulation or optimization is running?

Answer
Yes.

Open a second instance of Excel to work on other workbooks.

Do not run any Palisade product (like @RISK, Evolver, NeuralTools, etc.) in that second instance.
Workbooks with @RISK formulas will display #NAME in cells, but:
- you can still edit formulas in the formula bar, copy/paste formulas, and perform normal Excel operations.
