FAQ: How to tell which optimization was used

Check the Optimization Summary report near the end for the "Optimization Engine" entry. It will indicate whether OptQuest or the Genetic Algorithm was used.

If OptQuest was used, there is no way within Evolver or RISKOptimizer to determine which sub-algorithm ran.

The OptQuest Engine combines Tabu search, scatter search, integer programming, and neural networks into a single composite search algorithm. It does not include the OptTek genetic algorithm, which is built into Evolver and RISKOptimizer.

OptQuest does not include the OptTek genetic algorithm, which is built into Evolver and RISKOptimizer (@RISK Industrial).
