Overview

Testing your site placement process verifies the end-to-end student experience and the admin/placement coordinator review flow.

• Test both the approved-site and suggest-site paths
• Confirm task order, assignees, and signature routing.

Prepare to test

1. Create or identify test accounts:
2. Test Student account for student-side testing.
3. Test Admin or use Log In As (if available) for admin review.
4. Know which placement process and classification you will test.

Testing as Student

1. Sign in as your Test Student.
2. Open Site Placements from the Site Placements tile and click My site placements.
3. Select the classification/process you want to test and click Next.
4. Complete Pre-Application Tasks (if present):

• • Complete required uploads/forms (resume, application, insurance, etc.). You must finish prerequisite tasks before moving on.

5. Select Site:

1. 1. Choose an approved site from the list and click Start, then complete the associated tasks OR
   2. Click Suggest Site to propose a new site, enter the site name and complete tasks for suggesting a site.
      • Proceed through all tasks, verifying task order, instructions, and prompted assignees.

6. Select Supervisor:

1. 1. Choose an approved supervisor for the selected site OR
   2. Click Suggest a Supervisor to propose a new supervisor, then complete supervisor-related tasks.
      1. Verify task order, assignees, and signature requirements for supervisor tasks.

7. Finalize student steps:

1. 1. Complete all student-facing tasks and submit as required.

8. Note any issues:

1. 1. Task order, incorrect assignee prompts, missing/extra signatures, or confusing instructions. Record exact steps and screenshots if possible.

Review as Program Admin / Placement Coordinator

1. Log in as an admin (or use Log In As to impersonate a reviewer).
2. Go to Program Management | Supervision → Site Placements.
3. Click Review placements (Placement Approval Grid).
4. Select the placement process you tested and set status filter to All Statuses.
5. Find your Test Student in the grid and expand their record.
6. Review each task, attachments, signature routing, and status:

• 1. Confirm reviewers received tasks.
  2. Confirm referral flow (if applicable).
  3. Confirm finalization sets site, supervisor, and date ranges correctly.

Iterate and update

1. If changes are needed:
   1. Adjust the process in Program Setup | Admin → Site Processes (task order, prerequisites, instructions, reviewers, attachments).
   2. Re-test the student and admin flows after updating.
   3. Report issues:
      1. For product or configuration help, contact your Implementation Specialist, Product Coach, or submit a Support Case with steps and screenshots.

Variations to test

• Assigned site vs. student-selected site vs. suggested-site workflows.
• Assigned supervisor vs. student-selected supervisor vs. suggested-supervisor workflows.
• Referral to Authorized Site Representative (ASR)
  • test referral, ASR review, and resulting statuses (Pre-Approved, Not Approved, etc.).
• Tasks with prerequisites spanning steps
  • ensure prerequisite logic behaves as expected.
• Multi-program or multi-track scenarios if your instance supports them.

Best practices

• Test with approved and suggested site/supervisor paths.
• Use a checklist to confirm task order, assignees, signature routing, and finalization outputs.
• Test in a sandbox environment first when possible.
• Keep notes/screenshots for any changes you request.
• Retest after configuration changes.
