Forms

Individual student assessment data is entered via forms. The data entered is aligned to rubrics and assessment standards in the back end for comprehensive data collection and reporting.

Forms are the primary data collection point in Experiential Learning Cloud - any evaluation or assessment data will be gathered via a form. Forms find their way to students, faculty, and site supervisors by being added to assignments in a class.

Forms can have generic fields and rubric criteria on them.

Rubrics

Rubrics are used to align assessment standards to criteria, a rating scale, and a minimum acceptable value for student assessment.

A rubric is a scoring guide used to evaluate performance. It has three parts: performance criteria; rating scale; and indicators. For students and faculty, a rubric defines what is expected and what will be assessed. You can have multiple standards tied to a single criterion on a rubric. Here is an example of a rubric:

You can have multiple rubrics on a single form, or you can use one master rubric across multiple forms - in which case only certain criteria from the master rubric would be applied to each form.

Rubric reports demonstrate the scores students received on the rubric's rating scale, and the distribution, mean, mode, and standard deviation of scores across your entire program or groups of students.

Since you can only report on one rubric at a time, it is best practice to have only as many rubrics as the number of reports you need to pull.

While you can have more than one rubric on a form, you cannot have the same rubric on the same form twice.

Standards

Utilize Experiential Learning Cloud's flexible framework to track any assessment standards monitored by an accrediting body or developed as program-specific key performance indicators.

Standards are metrics used as measures or models in comparative evaluations. They can be tied to, or associated with, specific criteria in rubrics. You can associate a single standard with multiple criteria on multiple rubrics.

By aligning the criteria on your rubrics to assessment standards, you will be able to pull reports on student outcomes each time they were evaluated on any rubric that ties to any of your program's assessment standards - thus pulling together comprehensive data from multiple assessment points.

The Accreditation Standards reports will display whether students met or did not meet assessment standard benchmarks when assessed on rubrics tied to those standards.
