Overview

Experiential Learning Cloud lets programs design, run, and improve processes for assessing student learning outcomes (SLOs). Standards and rubrics aggregate data across assessments, simplifying evaluation and supporting accreditation reporting.

How to Set Up Program-Wide Assessment

Before setting up program-wide assessment, understand how forms, standards, and rubrics work together.

Preparation
- Rubrics: forms staff/students complete.
- Standards: accreditation standards (e.g., CACREP, CSWE, ISTE), KPIs, or SLOs.
- Submit rubrics and standards to the Services team for database setup.
Steps

1. Create Class Templates
- Go to Groups > + Add > select Class Template.
- Enter course number/name, program, and assign a placeholder supervisor.
2. Create Assignments
- 2.1 Student Upload Assignment
  - Type: Upload.
  - Completed by: Student.
  - Link reviewers in Approval Process.
  - Add optional instructions, prerequisites, start/due dates, and assign to students.
- 2.2 Faculty Evaluation Assignment
  - Type: Form (select rubric).
  - Completed by: Faculty.
  - Set student upload as prerequisite.
  - Approval follows rubric’s built-in signature flow.
  - Optional: add instructions, link assignments, set dates, and assign to all students.
3. Copy to Class Sections
Once assignments are set, copy templates to course sections for use.

TIP: Use the Assessment Map & Gaps Report to verify rubrics, assignments, and course alignment.

Completing Rubrics

Your rubrics and classes are built.

Reporting

Once you complete these assessments in Experiential Learning Cloud you will likely want to report on this data.

We have a number of reports you can utilize, but when reporting on rubrics you will want to focus on the 600-level Rubric Reports.

Use the 600-level rubric reports when
1. You need to see students' scores across evaluations.
2. To see if students are meeting specific accreditation standards or your school’s own set of KPIs or SLOs.
