Overview

You can pull comprehensive reports to review your assessment structure in Experiential Learning Cloud. Use additional filters for more targeted insights.

Assessments have multiple layers. The data will always be entered into forms by an evaluator. However, these forms are made up of criteria from a rubric. These criteria, in turn, can be tied to requirements from a standard.

Key Definitions:

Standard: A list of student learning outcomes designed to be met by students throughout their time in the program. (e.g., CSWE-EPAS, InTASC teaching standards, CACREP standards, or program-specific SLOs).

Requirement: An individual student learning outcome within a standard. (e.g., Make ethical decisions). The configuration of your program's requirements will allow you to pull standards reports (#604, #605, #606).

Rubric Criterion: A demonstrable outcome that can be assessed on a rating scale to document student performance. Rubric criteria can be tied to requirements to inform standards reports as well.

Rubric: In Experiential Learning Cloud, a rubric is a collection of rubric criteria that all have the same rating scale. Rubric criteria can be dispersed across multiple forms, for distinct assessment points, but rubric reports will pull together all criteria from the same rubric into one summary. If you'd like, you may build a single master assessment rubric comprising all criteria assessed throughout the program. This will allow you to pull program-wide rubric outcomes into a single, all-encompassing report.

Minimum Acceptable Value: the minimum score a student can receive on rubric criteria in order to "meet" any aligned requirements.

Form: the document into which data is entered. A form may contain rubric criteria that are aligned with requirements to inform both rubric reports  (#601, #602, and #603) and standard reports (#604, #605, #606). Learn more about these reports here.

Assignment: Through assignments, forms containing rubric criteria can be conveyed to and completed by evaluators.

704- Assessment Map

Ensure your assessment process is set up, and demonstrate how assessment points in class templates align with rubric criteria and assessment standards.

This report shows you the alignment of class templates to class assignments, forms, rubric criteria, and assessment standards. This report references class templates specifically because it is intended to reflect the repeatable assessment structure that has been built for your program.

How the 704 Report's Parameters Work:

You'll need to identify one or more programs and one or more standards to generate the report.

You can further filter the report by selecting class templates or rubrics for a more focused output.

Program: This required filter will allow you to select the program(s) to filter. Once you've selected a program, the groups filter will only show the class templates associated with that program as well as class templates associated with no program.

Group: This optional filter allows you to limit which class templates you would like to view. This will also show how assignments within those class templates are aligned with the selected standards. If you do not select a class template, the report output will show the alignment of the selected standards to any class template within your program along with any class templates that do not have a program association.

Standard: This required filter allows you to select an accreditation standard. The report output will show the alignment of the selected standard(s) to rubric criteria and class assignments in class templates.

Rubric:  This optional filter will show only the assignments aligned to the selected rubrics.

Sort By:  Choose between sorting by class and sorting by standard. If you choose to report by class, the output will be sorted by your classes and will demonstrate their alignment to assignments, rubrics, rubric criterion, and finally requirements. If you choose to report by standard, the output will be sorted by your requirements and

Frequency of Requirements: Check this box if you would like to see a count of the number of times each requirement is assessed.

705- Assessment Gaps Audit Report

Identify assessment gaps in your assessment process such as class templates missing assessment standards and unassigned assessment standards.

This report helps you improve the alignment of your assessment process by identifying gaps in your assessment structure, such as missing or unassigned assessment requirements in class templates.

How the 705 Report's Parameters Work:

You'll need to identify one or more programs and one or more standards in order to generate the report.

You'll also need to identify the information you'd like to see in the report by selecting "Show me classes missing requirements" or "Show me unassigned requirements".

You can also filter by specific class templates for a more focused output if desired.

Program: This required filter will allow you to select the program(s) to filter. Once you've selected a program, the Groups filter will only show the class templates associated with that program as well as class templates associated with no program.

Group(s): This optional filter allows you to limit which class templates you would like to view related information for. This will also show how assignments within those class templates are aligned with the selected standards. If you do not select a class template, the report output will show the alignment of the selected standards to any class template within your program, along with any class templates that do not have a program association.

Standard: This required filter allows you to select an accreditation standard. The report output will show the alignment of the selected standard(s) to rubric criteria and class assignments in class templates.

Show me unassigned: Select this option to see all standards that have not been assigned across rubrics and classes.

Show me classes missing requirements: Select this option to see all class templates with no assignments tied to standards and no rubrics.

Unassigned Assessment Requirements: Check this box if you would like to see all requirements from the selected standard(s) that are not currently tied to rubrics assigned in class templates.
