Forms should be tested by colleagues rather than the creator, as fresh users are more likely to spot issues and usability gaps.

Testing Steps

1. Create test users for each applicable role (student, site, site contact, supervisor) and ensure each profile has a valid email address.
2. For placement-related forms, create a test placement group, assign the test student to the test site, and link a test mentor and supervisor.
3. Activate relevant notifications, such as “Form section to complete.”
4. Create a communication template with the required placeholders.
5. Confirm all applicable workflows are configured correctly.
6. Assign the form or workflow to the appropriate test user.
7. If not using a workflow, send the communication containing the form link placeholder to the test user.

Testing Tip

Ask testers to deliberately make mistakes (submit early, complete the wrong section, etc.) to uncover edge cases and prevent real-user issues.
