SharpCloud Teams

Overview

SharpCloud Teams provide a collaborative environment where all team members have access to all team stories. Teams can operate as private workspaces or as collaborative communities that expand by inviting additional contributors.

Teams are often used alongside Private Directories to share selected stories with non-team members. A story can only belong to one team, while users can be members of multiple teams.

Teams are accessed via the Teams & Directories tab on the dashboard.

A key principle of teams is shared access and partial shared ownership. All members can view team stories, while administrators can perform additional actions typically reserved for story owners.

Team Operations

Adding a Member

• New members receive implicit team-view permissions to all existing team stories

Removing a Member

• Lose access to the team and implicit permissions

• Retain explicit permissions and ownership of their stories

Moving a Story into a Team

• Existing share permissions remain unchanged

• All team members gain implicit view access

Removing a Story from a Team

• Story returns to personal ownership

• Explicit permissions remain

• Team members lose implicit access

Creating a Story in a Team

• All team members automatically gain access

• Story appears in the Team panel on the dashboard

Notes

• Teams help control access by restricting sharing outside the team

• Implicit permissions apply to all team members automatically

• Explicit permissions override team-based access rules
