Experiential Learning Cloud gives administrators self-service tools to configure and manage key parts of their database without needing help from the ELC team. You get the flexibility to customize your setup, with permission settings keeping control in the right hands.

Permissions and access

Each self-service capability depends on permissions granted by a role in your database. For most of them, that's the Program Setup role.

Caution: These tools are intended for expert users. Assign the Program Setup role to only 2–3 users per program.

Self-service capabilities

Form building

Users with the Program Setup role can create and edit forms. Form building lets you collect the information your organization needs by customizing fields, layouts, and submission requirements.

• Getting Started with Form Builder — set up the role, choose between Pro and Lite, and create your form record.
• Building Your First Form — a walkthrough from a blank canvas to a published form.
• Editing Published Forms — change a form that's already live without disrupting the version in use.

Rubrics

Users with the Program Setup role can create and edit rubrics. Rubrics are built separately from forms. Once created, a rubric can be added to a form and used across multiple assignments to streamline how student performance is assessed.

Data importing

You can add or update large sets of information at once, such as users, sites, placement information, and other operational data that would take too long to enter by hand. Users with the Program Administrative Functions role can access importing throughout Experiential Learning Cloud.

Site process configuration

Users with the Program Setup role can create and edit site processes, which guide how students complete placement paperwork and get connected to sites and supervisors. You can configure the steps, requirements, and automation to match your organization's workflow.

Users with the Program Setup role can create and edit time tracks, a flexible way to collect the time students spend and the activities they perform during their field experiences.
