Error:

Your Citavi installation is currently not activated. To work with Citavi, you need a valid license.

 

Solutions:

I have a license for Citavi 6 or Citavi 7

Click the person icon at the top right of the start screen to log in to your Citavi account. Please make sure to use the same email address you provided when originally ordering the license.

If Citavi still shows "Free" or "No license" after you log in, you are probably using an older version of Citavi 6. Read more: Citavi 6 does not recognize my license or the update does not work.

I do not have a license for Citavi 6 or Citavi 7

• Students or other members of a university: check the Site Licenses area here to see whether their organization has a campus license agreement. The campus license is then usually valid until the end of the displayed contract term. If your university is not listed, there is no campus license and you will need to purchase a personal license (see below).
• Employees of a company with a campus license: ask your IT department how to proceed to obtain a license.
