Booking a Sonia Upgrade

Background:

Sonia ships a new release every month; however, most Sonia customers upgrade 1-2 times per year. Skipping a few releases to the latest version is completely safe. It will include all of the updates and enhancements since your previous upgrade.

 

Booking an Upgrade:

1. Schedule your Sonia upgrade using this link: https://calendly.com/soniasupport/upgrade
   1. The above link is only applicable for institutions hosting Sonia on a dedicated server. Sonia Live upgrades are scheduled by the Sonia team.
   2. We recommend scheduling an upgrade to your Test environment first > test your processes in Test after the upgrade > schedule upgrade to Production.
   3. If multiple programs at your institution use Sonia, we recommend coordinating the date and time with all parties involved.
2. Ensure all users are logged out of Sonia during the upgrade. When they log back in, Sonia will take a few seconds longer to open, as it is running the upgrade on that machine.
