FAQ: License Manager Shows Old Expiration Date After Renewal

Question

I have a Concurrent Network license that was set to expire on date X. A few days before expiration, I activated the renewal license for the next year.

• Server Manager shows the new license as activated.

• License Manager on DTS clients still shows the old expiration date.

Why is this happening?

Answer

This is expected behavior.

The License Manager will continue to display the current (older) license expiration date until that license actually expires. On the day after the old license expires, the License Manager will automatically update to show the new expiration date from the renewed license.

No action is required.
