Force DecisionTools Suite to open a specific Excel version

If Excel is already running, DecisionTools Suite apps (@RISK, StatTools, PrecisionTree, etc.) attach to that instance automatically. For a permanent fix so the software always opens a specific Excel version, set the Excel path in the Windows Registry.

Steps:

1. Close Excel.

2. Locate Excel.exe and copy its full path (including Excel.exe).

3. Open Registry Editor (Start » Run » REGEDIT).

4. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Palisade or on 64-bit Windows HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW6432Node\Palisade.

5. In the right pane, edit Excel Path if it exists, or create a new String Value named Excel Path.

6. Paste the full Excel.exe path and save.

7. Launch DecisionTools Suite with Excel closed to test.

Note: This setting is used only when Excel is not already running. If Excel is open, DecisionTools Suite always attaches to that instance.
