DTS Error: "This app can't run on your PC" (at install time)

Turn off Windows SmartScreen in Security and Maintenance, rerun the installer, then re-enable SmartScreen if desired.

DTS Software and Windows 10

The message you are seeing is produced by erroneous code in Windows 10 or an update to Windows 10.

Solution:

Disabling SmartScreen can allow the installer to run.

Press Windows+S and type SmartScreen OR
1. Right-click Start and go to Control Panel » System and Security » Security and Maintenance.
Click Change SmartScreen Settings, select Don’t do anything
Click OK, then restart the install.
1. You can re-enable SmartScreen later by selecting Warn before running or Get administrator approval.
