Problem:

The @RISK tab doesn't appear, and there's no Add-Ins tab.

Causes:

There are several possible causes and cures for this problem.

1. You need to tell Excel to trust the software.
   1. Launch Excel only.
   2. Click File » Open
   3. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Palisade (if it exists) or C:\Program Files\Palisade.
   4. Under that folder, open the folder for your software (such as RISK7 or StatTools6).
   5. Double-click the appropriate add-in:
      1.  Risk.xlam, Evolver.xlam, NeuralTools.xlma, Ptree.xlam, StatTools.xlam.
   6. If you get a security popup, look in the dialog for a check box labeled Trust all from this publisher, and enable it.
2. Your COM Type Library may have outdated entries, or may not be functioning correctly.
   1. To check for outdated entries, see Removing Outdated References to Office from the System Registry.
   2. If your COM system is not functioning correctly, try a repair of Microsoft Office
   3. If @RISK still doesn't launch into Excel, then run an uninstall and reinstall of Microsoft Office - this has been known to fix the issue when a repair fails.
3. A setting in Group Policy or Office Customization Tool, "Disable UI extending from documents and templates" is enabled.
   1. This option would prevent DTS/@Risk from adding its tab to the Excel ribbon.

4. Check the computer's antivirus logs
   1. Unblock any/all software components that may have been blocked.
   2. Report the exact name of the blocked file, and the full name of your antivirus program, to Tech Support by logging into the Lumivero Community Home Page and clicking on the Submit a Case button to fill out a form for assistance from the Support Team.

       

5. Uninstall 64-bit Office and install 32-bit Office
   1. This solution is rare.
   2. Before you uninstall 64-bit Office make sure you have your product key and that it will cover 32-bit Office also.
