Using Components of the DecisionTools Suite on a Concurrent Network

When you run any component of the DecisionTools Suite (DTS) on a concurrent network license, you are consuming one concurrency or "seat" for the entire Suite, not for just that component.

• A DecisionTools Suite license covers the whole Suite.

  • You cannot split it into separate licenses for @RISK, PrecisionTree, StatTools, or any other component.

• If you have a one-user concurrent network license, only one person can use any component of the Suite at a time.

  • Attempting to open another component or running it on another computer will fail because the single seat is already in use.

• If you have a two-user concurrent network license, two people can use the Suite at the same time.

  • However, they are consuming both seats collectively, whether they are using the same component or different components.

Key Point: Each active user consumes a full seat for the Suite, regardless of which tool(s) they are using. To allow multiple simultaneous users, you must have multiple concurrent seats.
