Password Protecting a Sheet in a Workbook

Overview
You can password-protect a sheet in Excel and allow @RISK to remember the password once provided.

Protecting a Sheet vs. Workbook

• To protect a single sheet, use Excel’s Review » Protect Sheet option and set a password.

• To protect the whole workbook, use:
  File » Save As » Tools (next to Save) » General Options and set a password.

@RISK Integration

• @RISK can store and remember a workbook password after you provide it once.

• If using a saved workbook password, you can write a VBA function to supply the password automatically to @RISK.

• Important: This method will not work if the workbook is protected via Review » Protect Workbook.
