When inviting students to join Experiential Learning Cloud, we recommend sending out an introduction email to prepare them to register with Experiential Learning Cloud. You can find a standardized welcome email template below. Please feel free to copy and paste, but be sure to review any content below in red italic font as this information will be slightly different for each program and will require some customization before sending.

We’re excited to let you know that we’re implementing an online platform called Experiential Learning Cloud to manage your field experience.

You will use Experiential Learning Cloud for: 

Site Placement 

• Secure your best-fit placement site by collaborating with program faculty and leveraging a robust list of partnering field sites through the platform. 
• Check all of the boxes for a successful field placement through a prescribed placement workflow designed by your program. 
• Once you’re placed, direct connections with your site and supervisor through the platform allow you to stay in sync with your site supervisors, even when you’re off-site.  

Time Tracking 

• Quantify your earned experience by tracking activities performed and hours accrued while in your field experience and beyond. 
• View your progress toward requirements set by your program and licensing bodies. 
• Gather signed PDF reports of all hours logged for easy verification of your field experience. 

Knowledge and Skills Development

• Never miss a field experience milestone with all required tasks clearly listed in your assignments workspace. 
• Evaluation and video assessment** assignments offer feedback from program faculty and site supervisors so that you can improve your practice. 
• Upload key assignments from non-field classes for a 360-degree view of your academic progress and competence development.*
