Overview 

This article will discuss how and when program administrators can transfer a student and their tasks to another class, even if they have already started completing assignments.

 

When Can I Transfer a Student and their Assignments?

 

This transfer works best when both classes are built from the same template.

NOTE: The transfer will work BUT the progam will only transfer assignments shared by both classes.

If any of the below are TRUE, you will NOT be given the option to transfer the student’s assignments. 

• The two classes were not created from the same template
• They were created by copying assignments from a class and not a class template
• They were created without a template but built to have the same assignments

 

How to Transfer a Student and their Assignments

IMPORTANT: Keep the student in their original class until ALL steps are completed.

 

1. You will begin in Program Management | Staff & Students.

2. Once in the Program Management | Staff & Students environment, select the Classes workspace and locate the class the student is currently in.

3. Next, locate the class you wish to transfer the student to, expand the class record, and add the student to the new class.

4. Click the button that says "Move assignments from [class name]."

5. After transferring the assignments you can now remove the student from their original class.
