Rerouting Assignments for Signatures from the Assignments Grid

Background

Students can resubmit the assignment to the correct person, but a program administrator or course instructor may want to manually reroute the assignment to the correct person(s).

How to Reroute Assignments

1. Go to Program Management | Supervision environment.

2. To get to the Assignments Grid, click the “Manage Assignments” button within the “Assignments” tile in your Program Management | Supervision environment.

3. Once in the Assignments Grid, locate the student and assignment you wish to reroute.

4. After locating the assignment, click on the “Waiting On” status icon.

5. Upon clicking on the status icon you will then receive a pop-up with options of:

   • A dropdown to change the status

   • A link to “view history” of the assignment

   • And a button to “open” the assignment

6. You will click on the dropdown and then choose “Resubmit”.

7. When prompted, change the person that signs for any signature.

   • The signature options should show only users who have supervision over the student.

   • Depending on the options set up for signatures on the assignment:

     • You can “Skip” a signature

     • You can route a signature to be completed via email

If a signature has already been signed, it will be locked and you will be unable to resubmit the assignment for it.

NOTE: Administrators with the Program Administrative Functions Plus + role can skip required signatures and review steps directly from the Assignments Grid, without needing the student or signer to take action first. This helps prevent an assignment from getting stuck due to an unresponsive user.

These administrators can also force-revert a completed assignment directly from the grid, without the need for a change request to be submitted.
