Issue

When clicking Define Distributions, Add Output, or Define Correlations, the ribbon button highlights but no window opens.

You can run a simulation, but:

• The Simulation Progress window does not appear

• Browse Results does not open a window

Resolution

Step 1: Confirm the Correct Article

First, verify whether a different KB article applies:

• If Add Output and Define Correlations do open windows:

  • see Define Distribution and Browse Results Do Nothing

• If you are using release 7.5 or newer and the results graph remains stuck at “Simulation is starting”:

  • see Define Distributions Does Nothing, Results Graph Stuck at "Simulation Starting"

• If none of the toolbar buttons work:

  • Toolbar Appears, But Every Button Does Nothing
• If none of the above apply, the RiskModel.dll component is likely unregistered or misregistered.

Step 2: Re-register RiskModel.dll

This procedure requires full administrative rights.

1. 1. Close Excel.

   2. Save the attached KB1379 file to any folder.

   3. Open the folder, hold Shift, right-click the file, and select Copy as path.

   4. Open an administrative Command Prompt (must be explicitly run as Administrator).

   5. Click inside the Command Prompt, right-click and select Paste, then press Enter.

If you get "FAILURE" in the window, make a screen shot of the command window and of any popup window and send them to Tech Support by logging into the Lumivero Community Home Page and clicking on the Submit a Case button to fill out a form for assistance.
