Part 1: Instructions for Registering the External Tool

1. Navigate to System Admin
   
2. Under Integrations, select LTI Tool Providers
   
3. Click Register LTI 1.3/Advantage Tool
   
4. Input the Client ID provided by your Implementation Specialist
   
5. Click Submit
6. The text fields in the TOOL STATUS form should autofill with the necessary information
7. In the Tool Status field, select the Approved radio button
   

   NOTE: 

   In this step, if not already autofilled, replace schoolcode with the domain for your institution's Experiential Learning Cloud database URL (e.g. if your Experiential Learning Cloud database URL is abc.Experiential Learning Cloud.app, schoolcode should be replaced with abc). If you do not know your Experiential Learning Cloud database URL, please ask your Implementation Specialist.
8. Under INSTITUTION POLICIES, in the User Fields to Send field, select the following checkboxes:
   • Role in Course
   • Name
   • Email Address
9. Click Submit

Part 2: Instructions for Creating Placements

If you are configuring an LTI integration for multiple programs that use Experiential Learning Cloud, you must complete these steps for each program. Each placement created will be differentiated by a unique custom parameter (see Part 2 > Step 6). If you do not know the name(s) of your program(s) in Experiential Learning Cloud, please ask your Implementation Specialist.

1. Navigate to the LTI Tool Providers list (see Part 1 > Step 2)
2. Select the Experiential Learning Cloud LTI 1.3 tool you registered in Part 1
3. Select Manage Placements
4. Click Create Placement
5. Within the PLACEMENT INFORMATION section, input the following data/selections in the fields listed below:
   • Label: Experiential Learning Cloud [program name] LTI 1.3
   • Handle: Experiential Learning Cloud [program name] LTI 1.3
   • Availability: Select Yes
   • Type: Select Course tool and Allow student access
   • Launch in New Window: Select the checkbox
6. Within the TOOL PROVIDER INFORMATION SECTION, input the following data in the fields listed below:
   

   NOTE: 

   In this step, replace schoolcode with the domain for your institution's Experiential Learning Cloud database URL (e.g. if your Experiential Learning Cloud database URL is abc.lumivero-elc.app, schoolcode should be replaced with abc). If you do not know your Experiential Learning Cloud database URL, please ask your Implementation Specialist.
   • Target Link URI: https://schoolcode.lumivero-elc.app/sso/lti13
   • Tool Provider Custom Parameters: program=program (e.g. program=CMHC)
7. Click Submit
