Instructions for Registering the External Tool

1. Navigate to Site Administration → Plugins → Activity Modules → External Tool → Manage Tools 
2. Under Manage Tools, select Configure a tool manually
3. Input the following data in the fields listed below:
   NOTE: In this step, replace schoolcode with the domain for your institution's Experiential Learning Cloud database URL (e.g. if your Experiential Learning Cloud database URL is abc.lumivero-elc.app, schoolcode should be replaced with abc). If you do not know your Experiential Learning Cloud database URL, please ask your Implementation Specialist.

   • Tool Settings

     • Tool Name: Experiential Learning Cloud [program name] LTI 1.3

     • Tool URL: https://schoolcode.lumivero-elc.app/sso/lti13

     • Tool Description: Create your own description (e.g. Experiential Learning Cloud LTI 1.3 Tool for [program name])

     • LTI Version: LTI 1.3

     • Public Key Type: Keyset URL 

     • Public Keyset: https://schoolcode.lumivero-elc.app/sso/lti13/jwks

     • Initiate Login URL: https://schoolcode.lumivero-elc.app/sso/lti13

     • Redirection URL(s): https://schoolcode.lumivero-elc.app/sso/lti13

     • Custom Parameters: program=program name (e.g. program=CMHC)

     • Tool configuration usage: Show as a preconfigured tool when adding an external tool

     • Default launch container: New Window

     • Content Selection URL: Leave blank

     • Icon URL: Leave blank

     • Secure Icon URL: Leave blank

   • Services

     • IMS LTI Names and Role Provisioning: Use this setting to retrieve members' information as per privacy settings

   • Privacy

     • Share launcher’s name with tool: Always 

     • Share launcher’s email with tool: Always 

   • Miscellaneous

     • Organization ID: Leave blank 

     • Organization URL: Leave blank

4. Click Save changes
5. On the Manage Tools page, click the configuration icon for the Experiential Learning Cloud tool you just created
6. Save the following LTI configuration details:

   • Platform ID
   • Client ID
   • Deployment ID
   • Public keyset URL
   • Access token URL
   • Authentication request URL
7. Send the above configuration details to your Implementation Specialist (and specify which Client ID and Deployment ID corresponds with which program, if you have configured tools for multiple ELC programs)
