Solutions: Go to Task Manager » Processes to end the msiexec.exe process Restart Windows If this doesn't resolve the issue, try either of the following: Follow the procedure in Microsoft's Fix problems that programs cannot be installed or uninstalled Change the Windows installer service: Run services.msc Change the Windows Installer service to Disabled Reboot the computer.  Change Windows Installer service to Manual.
