Applies to: All products, 6.x/7.x, standalone or network client

Error:

"Error 1316. A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file C:\Windows\Installer\DTS62.msi"

 

Solutions:

If you are running a standalone version:

1. Uninstall your existing version of the software, in Control Panel » Programs and Features.
   1. You'll be asked whether to deactivate the license; answer No.
   2. Install the new version using the upgrade installer.
      1. During the install, on the Customer Information screen, be sure to select "I am upgrading" in the bottom section, so that the upgrade will carry your license forward.

If you are running a Concurrent Network client:

1. Uninstall your existing version of the software, in Control Panel » Programs and Features.
2. Install the new version using the upgrade installer.
