SurveyToGo is available as an annual subscription plan, with interview top-ups and extra storage you can add whenever you need more. This FAQ explains how to choose and buy a plan, how top-ups and storage work, and what to expect if you're moving from pay-as-you-go interview credits.

What does every plan include?

• Full platform access, including Studio and Insights

• The SurveyToGo field app for iOS, Android and Windows

• No limits on users, devices, surveys or questions

• 1 GB of storage (10 GB with the Enterprise plan)

• Customer support through the Lumivero Community

How do I choose a plan?
Pick the plan that covers the interviews you expect to collect in one year. If you are not sure, start smaller. You can add interview top-ups at any time after purchase.

Can I buy more than 20,000 interviews on my first purchase?
No. You must first purchase a subscription plan. The Enterprise subscription plan offers the highest interview allowance at 20,000 interviews per year. Once your subscription is active, you can purchase additional interviews through top-ups as often as needed. There is no limit on top-ups.

Can I add top-ups or extra storage when I buy my plan?
No. At checkout you buy the subscription plan only. Top-ups and extra storage are available right after, from My SurveyToGo Account in the Studio.

Is there a free trial?
No. You can download SurveyToGo and create an account for free, allowing you to build and edit surveys. However, you'll need an active subscription plan to collect interviews.

Do you offer academic or non-profit pricing?
No. Our plans are priced to be competitive for every organization, so we do not offer separate academic or non-profit prices.

When does my plan start?
Your plan starts on the day you buy it and runs for 12 months.

Moving from pay-as-you-go to plans

I still have interview credits. Can I use them?
Yes. You can keep using valid credits until they expire. Once your balance is used or expired, you need an active plan to keep collecting responses.

When do my credits expire?
Interview credits are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

I have no credits left. What can I still do?
You can still sign in to Studio, build and edit surveys, and review results you already collected. To collect new responses, you need a plan.

I already pay for extra storage every month. Does that change?
No. Your existing monthly storage subscription will continue without interruption unless you choose to cancel it. You can also purchase additional storage through the monthly storage options if needed.

Please note that each SurveyToGo subscription plan includes 1 GB of storage, or 10 GB with the Enterprise plan, so you may find that you no longer need your existing storage subscription. If so, you will need to cancel it separately.

Top-ups and storage

What is an interview top-up?
A one-time purchase of extra interviews, on top of your plan. Top-ups are sold in packs of 1,000 interviews. Larger top-ups get a lower price per interview. See prices in the online shop.

How do I buy a top-up?
In the Studio, go to My SurveyToGo Account and click Purchase Interviews. Interviews are added to your account right after payment.

How long are top-ups valid?
12 months from the day you buy them, as long as your plan is active.

What happens when my top-up interviews expire?
When your top-up interviews expire, any unused interviews are removed from your balance.

• Interviews you’ve already collected are not affected—your data stays in your account.

• If your balance reaches zero, new interviews won’t upload until you purchase more. Web interviews (CAWI) will stay on our servers and upload once you have interviews available. Interviews collected on devices (CAPI) will stay on the device until the device storage is full—after that, new interviews collected can’t be stored and run the risk of being lost.

You’ll receive an email notification before your top-ups expire, letting you know the expiration date.

How do I get more storage?
Go to My SurveyToGo Account, open the Storage Usage Report, then click Upgrade Storage Space. Additional storage is available as a monthly subscription in 5 GB, 10 GB, 20 GB, or 30 GB options, with a lower price per GB for larger amounts. You can select one storage option per order, but you can place additional orders as often as needed.

Is extra storage a one-time purchase?
No. Extra storage is a monthly subscription. It renews automatically, and you can cancel it at any time.

What happens to my data if I cancel extra storage?
Your existing data will remain stored and accessible. However, if you stored data exceeds your available storage allowance after cancellation, you won't be able to upload new data until you free up space or purchase additional storage.
