Auto-Code Age Group Survey Sample

Overview

Age is a common question in surveys and is often used for quotas, screening, parent consent requirements, and other survey logic.

In many cases, you may need to capture both the respondent's exact age and their corresponding age group. When the respondent provides their exact age, the age group should be coded automatically based on the defined age ranges. This helps prevent interviewer error and ensures that the respondent is assigned to the correct group.

If the respondent refuses to provide their exact age, the survey can display the age group question instead, allowing the interviewer to select the appropriate range manually.

The attached sample survey demonstrates the Age Group Auto-Coding technique.
