How to Generate a Model

Overview

A PRV model can be generated from any folder on the My Folders page or from a risk list. The model is interactive and opens in the web browser once generated.

Note: Risks that are not visible in the risk list at the time of generation will be excluded from the model, even if they are linked to risks that are included. Check any active filters before generating.

Step 1 — Open the Risk list or folder

1. Navigate to the folder or risk list to use as the basis for the model.
2. Confirm any active filters are set as intended
   1. only visible risks will be included.

Step 2 — Open the Risk Visualiser options

Select the Risk Visualiser icon from the risk list toolbar to open the Options for Predict! Risk Visualizer dialog.

Step 3 — Configure the options

The following options are available:

• Category label:
  • Select which category label to use for grouping risks on the model.
  • Risks not assigned to the selected category label will appear as ungrouped solo risks.
• Use target scores and velocities:
  • Leave unticked to use current score and current velocity (default).
  • Tick this option to generate the model using target score and target velocity values instead.
• Use last saved layout for this set of risks:
  • If a layout has previously been saved for this folder or risk list, ticking this option will restore that layout when generating the model.
  • If no saved layout exists, a new layout will be created automatically.

Note: Any changes to the risk list (ie. new risks, retired risks, or updated filters) may result in minor unavoidable changes to a previously saved layout. It is recommended to review and re-save the layout after any such changes.

Step 4 — Generate the model

1. Click Generate.
2. A notification will appear when the model is ready. The notification includes the folder or risk list name and the category label selected.
3. A shortcut to the model is also added to the Recently visited items list on the homepage.
4. Click the notification to open the interactive model in the web browser.

Troubleshooting

• If fewer risks than expected appear in the model:

  • check that all intended risks are visible in the risk list and that no filters are excluding them.

• If risks appear ungrouped when a category is expected

  • confirm those risks have been assigned to the selected category label in their risk records.

• If the Risk Visualiser icon is not visible in the toolbar

  • the PRV licence may not be active.

• • Contact the system administrator or Account Manager.
