Get Started with NVivo AI Cloud

Welcome to NVivo AI Cloud. This article covers account setup, signing in for the first time, launching the app, and creating your first project.

Step 1: Get access to your account

After you complete your purchase, you will receive a confirmation email from Lumivero.

If you already have a Lumivero account:

Click the launch button in your confirmation email to sign in directly with your MyLumivero credentials. You're all set!

If this is your first Lumivero product OR you're an existing Lumivero customer without a MyLumivero account:

Click the access account button in your confirmation email to create your MyLumivero account.

Follow the prompts to create your Lumivero account. Once complete, you're logged in.

From MyLumivero you can access your apps, view your active licenses, manage your subscription, monitor your AI credit pool, and purchase AI credit top-ups.

Step 2: Launch NVivo AI Cloud

Open NVivo AI Cloud from MyLumivero > My Apps > Launch or go directly to nvivocloud.ai.

The first time you sign in, you'll be asked to accept the Terms of Use and select your preferred data storage region.

You can then create your own project or open the sample project to see a worked example of a complete analysis before starting your own.

Step 3: Create your first project

1. To set up a new project, enter a title, a description, and the research questions you want to answer.

2. Optionally, you can also:

   • Invite team members to work on the project

   • Search for relevant literature to inform your research

   • Organize your data into cases and variables

3. Then import your data (text, audio, or video). Audio and video files are transcribed for you, and NVivo AI Cloud summarizes each source so you can check that everything imported as expected.

4. Review AURA's (your AI research assistant) suggested initial topics: accept them for coding, add your own topics for AURA to code, or do both. Nothing is coded without your confirmation. These are a starting point, not a finished analysis: you decide what happens next.

Initial topics are methodology-neutral, so you can develop the analysis from there according to your preferred qualitative approach. Your project opens with an overview of your sources, topics, and coding.

Step 4: Develop your analysis

From here, the analysis is yours to direct. You can:

• Review and reorganize AURA's coding

• Code further passages yourself

• Write reflexive memos as your thinking develops

• Ask AURA questions about your project in chat

• Export your material, including the full audit trail documenting what AURA generated and what you confirmed
