How to Assign a Form to a Student Outside of a Course

Manual Sharing

1. Go to the student’s profile.
2. Navigate to the Documents section.
3. Click the Add + button and select Form.
4. Choose the form you want to assign.
5. Click the Share icon.
6. Select the student’s name from the dropdown.
7. Ensure the correct permissions are set and provide a reason for sharing.
8. Click Share.

Communications Hub

You can also assign forms through the Communications Hub, which allows you to send messages to groups of recipients. For more detailed guidance, refer to Sending Messages to Recipient Groups via the Communications Hub.

 

NOTE: Forms sent via Manual Sharing or the Communications Hub must be tracked manually. You can check progress by reviewing the user’s documents or using form reports. If additional signatures are required, the user will need to manually share the form with the next signer.

Program Assignment

1. Go to the Program Management menu.
2. Navigate to Program Setup | Admin.
3. Click the Programs tab.
4. Select the program in question.
5. Go to the Assignments tab and click Add +.
6. Create the assignment.

This method allows any student in the program (even if they are not in a class) to complete the assignment. You can also adjust the Assigned to section if you want to restrict the assignment to specific students.

The Program Assignment method is the most effective for tracking, as progress can be viewed directly in the Assignments Grid without needing to check individual student profiles.

 

NOTE: Every program is set up differently, so some programs may have additional steps, restrictions, or workflows that affect how assignments are assigned and tracked. Be sure to review the program’s specific setup to ensure assignments are properly configured.
