Copying Application Settings to Other Models or PCs

After you adjust Application Settings in DecisionTools Suite to your liking, you can reuse them in other models or on other computers by exporting and importing the settings file.

Important distinction

Model-specific settings are saved inside the workbook automatically. If you only care about one model, you do not need to export anything.
Default settings for all new models must be exported and then imported elsewhere.

How to export Application Settings

Open Utilities » Application Settings.
Click the disk icon at the bottom of the dialog.
Choose Export to File.
Save the file and note its location and name.

How to import Application Settings on another PC or session

Open the target model.
Go to Utilities » Application Settings.
Click the disk icon again.
Choose Import from File and select the saved settings file.

Using a policy file (optional, for organizations)
You can also create a policy file containing application settings that should apply to all users, ensuring consistent defaults across multiple machines and users.
