Overview

Supervision type is a new field on supervision rules that give supervisors specific functionality associated with the rule type.

What do these types do?

Site Supervisor: The site supervisor type applies to all supervisors who independently supervise a student at a placement site.

Task Supervisor: The task supervisor rule type applies to field instructors who have not met the requirements to independently supervise a student. This type typically applies to members in Social Work programs.

How are the supervision types applied?

The supervision types are automatically applied to any supervision rule created via a site placement process or they can be set manually. If you are creating a supervision rule manually, you do not need to select a supervision type.
