Experiential Learning Cloud: Removing Site and Supervisor Placements

Withdraw from a site or supervisor via Site Placements → select classification → Withdraw Site (three‑dot menu or Site Details), complete paperwork, submit for approval.

Overview

Keep the university's support system in the loop by notifying them of any changes to your field placement and easily complete any required paperwork related to the change.

NOTE: The steps below only apply to students whose programs have a site and supervisor withdrawal process in place.

If your school does not have a withdrawal process, reach out to your program administrator to request one be added.

How to Withdraw from a Site

Go to your Site Placement workspace.
Select the site classification you want to update.
Click the three dots on the site and choose Withdraw Site or go to Site Details, expand the info, and click Withdraw Site.
Complete the withdrawal paperwork, including the new end date, and submit for approval.
Once approved, your association with the site updates to the new end date; the site becomes inactive after that date.

If you have been manually placed at your site by your Program Administrator (you did not fill out the paperwork)

Go to your Site Placement workspace.
Go to the My Sites tab
Use the arrows on the right to expand the site you need to withdraw from.
Select Withdraw Site
Select the applicable classification
Select I’m Ready to confirm the withdrawal
Complete any applicable tasks in your selected classification to complete the withdrawal

How to Withdraw from a Supervisor at a Site

Open Site Placement workspace.
Select the site classification to update.
Click the three dots or Site Details → expand → Withdraw Site.
Complete withdrawal paperwork, enter the new end date, and submit for approval.
Upon approval, the site becomes inactive on the specified end date.

Site: The location in which students are placed for their field experience.

Site Supervisor: The professional who oversees the student's field experience at their external field site.

Task Supervisor: An individual who provides on-site supervision for the student field experience, but not as the primary supervisor.
