Installer Message:

Cause:

This is likely due to insufficient permissions to install.

 

Solutions:

1. When downloading the installer, be sure to choose Save, not Run or Open. 
2. Right-click the saved file and select Run As Administrator.
   1. If this doesn't solve the problem, something in the Windows setup is preventing the downloaded EXE installer from launching the extracted MSI installer.
3. Install the prerequisites listed in Microsoft Components Required for 7.x Software Install or Microsoft Components Required for 6.x Software Install.
   1. The instructions indicate which components should or should not be installed in your particular flavor of Windows.
   2. Open your temporary folder
   3. Locate the extracted MSI-type installer file, right-click it, and select Run as administrator.

NOTE: 

• • To locate the extracted installer, switch to Details View and sort by Date Modified.
  • The file name is DTS63.msi, RISK63.msi, or something similar. 
  • If you are not viewing files extensions (.msi) the file type is Windows Installer Package.
