Applies to: PrecisionTree 5.x and Up, Professional Edition

Error:

PrecisionTree: Decision tree 'name' exceeds the size limit of the professional edition of PrecisionTree.

Cause:

In the Professional Edition of PrecisionTree, the size of any one tree is limited to 1000 nodes.

Solution:

To count nodes, use (last row – first row + 1) ÷ 2.

Reference nodes simplify trees but each subtree counts toward the 1000-node limit.

If you need to work with trees larger than 1000 nodes, please contact your @Risk/DTS Sales Manager to upgrade your DecisionTools Suite or PrecisionTree license to the Industrial Edition, which has no limit on tree sizes.

If your influence diagram has well under 1000 nodes, note that the 1000-node limit applies to the decision tree from an influence diagram, which can be much larger than the diagram itself due to all unique paths.
