PrecisionTree Industrial – Node Limits and Performance

 

PrecisionTree Industrial does not impose a hard limit on the total number of nodes in a tree. However, large trees should be split into subtrees of no more than 5,000 nodes each.

Subtrees can be linked to the main tree via reference nodes, which is especially useful for repetitive subtrees. This makes the tree easier to understand, though speed improvements may vary depending on your tree structure.

Practical Limits

• Performance depends on computer hardware and the product of branches across all nodes.

• As nodes increase, computational complexity rises sharply, slowing calculations.

• Very large trees (e.g., ~1,000 nodes in certain configurations) may already be too slow to compute efficiently.

• Splitting into subtrees does not reduce computational complexity; it mainly aids clarity and modularity.
