Overview

To add Experiential Learning Cloud links to a course in Blackboard, the external tool would need to have been registered and configured already. If you are unable to find a Experiential Learning Cloud LTI 1.3 tool option when following these steps, please confirm that the tool has been registered and configured based on these instructions.

There are two methods for adding the Experiential Learning Cloud LTI link to a course in Blackboard depending on which interface your institution uses. If your institution uses the Blackboard Classic interface, proceed to Method 1. If your institution uses the Blackboard Ultra interface, proceed to Method 2.

Method 1: Instructions for Blackboard Classic

1. Access your course in Blackboard
2. Navigate to Content, located in the left sidebar
3. Expand the Tools dropdown menu and navigate to More Tools at the bottom of the menu
4. Select the respective Experiential Learning Cloud LTI 1.3 tool for your program
NOTE: The Experiential Learning Cloud LTI tools are program-specific. Please choose the tool that corresponds to the program students from your class will be associated with. If students from multiple programs will have access to the course, please add all appropriate links and guide your students accordingly.
5. Create a general name for the new link (e.g. "Access to Experiential Learning Cloud" or "Experiential Learning Cloud LTI Link")
6. Within the OPTIONS section, in the Available field, select the Yes radio button
7. Click Submit

IMPORTANT: Only one Experiential Learning Cloud LTI link is needed in each Blackboard course and should not be tied to any other assignments! If you have students from more than one program in your course, see the note below Step 4.

Method 2: Instructions for Blackboard Ultra

1. Access your course in Blackboard
2. Navigate to the Content tab
3. Click the + button above/below an existing module or + Add Content (if there is not already existing content in the course)
4. Select Content Market
5. Scroll down and select the respective Experiential Learning Cloud LTI 1.3 tool for your program
NOTE: The Experiential Learning Cloud LTI tools are program-specific. Please choose the tool that corresponds to the program students from your class will be associated with. If students from multiple programs will have access to the course, please add all appropriate links and guide your students accordingly.
6. Once the Experiential Learning Cloud LTI link is added, ensure that the permissions setting is set to Visible to students

IMPORTANT: Only one Experiential Learning Cloud LTI link is needed in each Blackboard course and should not be tied to any other assignments! If you have students from more than one program in your course, see the note below Step 5.
