Error

After renewing your XLSTAT license, you may receive the following error when opening or activating XLSTAT:

License [your license key] does not exist. Please ensure you have entered the proper license key code.

This can happen even when the license key is correct and the renewal has been completed.

 

 

Cause

Your renewed license is managed through the new MyLumivero licensing system, introduced with XLSTAT version 2025.2.

If you are using an earlier version of XLSTAT, the application still connects to the previous licensing system. Because your renewed license is now registered in MyLumivero, the older version cannot find or validate it and displays the “license does not exist” error.

This message does not necessarily mean that your license key is incorrect or that your renewal failed. In most cases, XLSTAT must be updated before the renewed license can be recognized and activated.

 

Solution

To resolve the “License does not exist” error after renewing your XLSTAT license, complete these steps in order:

Step 1: Update XLSTAT

1. Close Excel.

2. Download the latest version of XLSTAT.

3. Run the installer. You do not need to uninstall your current version.

4. When the installation is complete, reopen Excel.

Step 2: Link your license to MyLumivero

1. Follow the instructions in How to link your XLSTAT license to MyLumivero.

2. Sign in to MyLumivero.

3. Confirm that your renewed XLSTAT license appears in your account.

4. Once the license is visible, continue to Step 3.

Step 3: Activate XLSTAT

1. Follow the instructions in How to activate your XLSTAT license.

2. You should now see a confirmation that XLSTAT has been successfully activated.
