NVivo: This project did not close successfully the last time it was open NVivo Mac

If your NVivo Mac project becomes unusable due to active cloud-drive syncing: Disable cloud sync (iCloud, OneDrive, etc.) while working with .nvpx files, then restart the Mac. Check file permissions With NVivo closed, right-click the .nvpx file → Get Info and make sure the file is not locked. Copy the file to your Desktop, rename it (avoid ALL CAPS or trailing spaces), and try opening it. Restore from the auto-recovery file Search in Finder for a file named yourproject.nvpx~. Rename it to remove the tilde (~) → it becomes a folder. Open that folder and look for the included .nvpx file, which can often open successfully. If all else fails, convert the project to NVivo for Windows and then convert it back to NVivo for Mac—this can repair underlying corruption.
