Managing Customers and Projects

Overview

SurveyToGo is designed to enable you to run field surveys either for yourself or for your customers. Market research firms usually conduct surveys for their customers while other companies might use SurveyToGo to conduct surveys for their own use.

What is a SurveyToGo Organization?

An organization represents your company’s private space in SurveyToGo.

Once you register for a SurveyToGo account an organization is created for you with the name you specified as your company and you can see your organization name listed on the root node in the SurveyToGo Studio:

You should only register once per company.

If you need to grant others access, create users for them and send them the details.

• Only you and the users that you create have access to your organization.
• All surveys that you create will be in your organization and cannot be accessed by anyone other than you and the users you create.

You can change the properties and contact details of your organization by right clicking on the organization node and clicking on the “Organization Properties”:

What are Customers?

SurveyToGo includes a “Customers” node:

These customers represent your customers. If you are a Market Research firm and you conduct surveys for 4 different customers, you will create 4 different customers under the customers node. By default, SurveyToGo includes an already defined “Demo Customer”, which you can safely delete after you are comfortable with SurveyToGo.

Here is an example of a the “AA Market Research Inc” organization that conducts surveys for these customers:

• Coca Cola
• Euro-Car Inc
• Kellogs

etc'...

Creating customers can be done through the “New” button located at the top:

What are Customer Projects?

SurveyToGo Customer Projects represent the actual survey projects you are conducting for your customers.

The customer project area includes the surveys, surveyors & tools that you need to perform the survey:

Project Contents

Each SurveyToGo project includes the following tools and management nodes:

Operations

The Operations node provides access to the Operations Console, where you can monitor project activity, including who performed specific actions and when they occurred.

Double-click this node to open the Operations Console.

Surveys

The Surveys node contains all surveys within the project. A project may include multiple surveys, such as different versions of the same survey or several distinct surveys related to the same project.

For example, a customer satisfaction project at a trade show might include one survey for attendees of the keynote presentation and another for visitors exploring the exhibition floor.

Surveyors

The Surveyors node lists all surveyors assigned to the project. Assigned surveyors can synchronize and conduct the surveys that belong to this project on their devices.

Collected Data

The Collected Data node allows you to export survey results in a variety of formats, including Microsoft Excel, SPSS, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, and others.

Double-click this node to open the export tool.

Tabulation

The Tabulation node provides basic analysis tools for your collected data, including frequency tables and cross-tabulations.

Double-click this node to open the tabulation tool.

Collected Attachments

The Collected Attachments node allows you to export and archive attachments collected during interviews, such as photos, audio recordings, and other media files.

Archiving attachments is useful when you want to free storage space on the SurveyToGo servers by moving attachments to your own storage.

Quotas

The Quotas node allows you to view, monitor, and manage the quotas defined for the surveys in the project.

Double-click the node to open the quota management tool.
