How to use the Auto-Close Surveys option

Overview

SurveyToGo automatically closes surveys that have not received any uploaded interviews for six months. This helps keep your organization organized by preventing inactive surveys from remaining in Production unnecessarily.

Automatically closing inactive surveys improves the synchronization experience for interviewers by removing outdated surveys from their devices and reducing synchronization time.

Can I Still Access Data from Closed Surveys?

Yes. Closing a survey does not affect its data.

The only effect of the Closed status is that the survey is no longer synchronized to interviewer devices. In SurveyToGo Studio, you can continue to:

• View interview data

• Perform quality control

• Export results

• Manage the survey as needed

Is Auto-Close Enabled by Default?

Yes. The Auto-Close feature is enabled by default and requires no additional configuration.

Disable the Auto-Close Feature

If you prefer to manage survey status manually, you can disable the Auto-Close feature.

To do so:

1. In SurveyToGo Studio, right-click your Organization node.

2. Select Organization Properties.

c. Switch to the "Advanced" tab and check the "Do not auto close unused surveys":

d. Click OK
